Balrampur district is a district of Chhattisgarh, India, with headquarters in Balrampur. The Balrampur district lies on the northern part of Chhattisgarh state. The district is bound on north and northeast of its parent district namely Surguja District.
Balrampur district is a part of Ambikapur(Surguja)division. It came into existence in 1st January 2012 and was earlier part of Surguja district. The climate of Balrampur is of extreme nature, i.e. very hot in the summers and biting cold in the winters.
