Bilaspur district is one of the city of Chhattisgarh states; a city is located 111 miles north of the state capital Raipur. It is the second largest city in the state. Bilaspur is the administrative headquarters of the district. Chhattisgarh High Court is in Bilaspur, that’s why it’s also called ‘Nyayadhani’.
बिलासपुर जिला छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य का एक शहर है, जो राज्य की राजधानी रायपुर के उत्तर में 111 मील पर स्थित है। यह राज्य में दूसरा सबसे बड़ा शहर है। बिलासपुर, जिला का प्रशासनिक मुख्यालय है। छत्तीसगढ़ का उच्च न्यायालय बिलासपुर मे है, इस लिए बिलासपुर को 'न्यायाधानी’ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

17 वी सदी मे लंबी अवधि के लिए यहा कुछ मछुआरों झोपड़ियां बना कर रहते थे जो ऐतिहासिक रिकॉर्ड बन गया था और इसी मे से एक फिशर औरत के नाम से इस जिले का नाम बिलासा पड़ा।
Educations:
Bilaspur has several University Teaching Departmetns and about 125 colleges affiliated to the university including those offering courses in Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Students come to Bilaspur from the surrounding places to take up education in almost all the fields of study.

Chakarbhata Airport is 10 km away from Bilaspur; it is not served by any scheduled airlines. The nearest airport is Raipur, 110 km (68 miles) away and Delhi, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bhopal, Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Chennai, and has regular flights.

For the tourism it is very famous place in Chhattisgarh. Achanakmarg here to Wildlife Sanctuary, Ratanpur is for Temple, and Talagaon for Rudrashiva is a historical place.
