With publicity of state government for creating awareness and pressure of police in Naxal infested areas, four Naxalites all residents of village Babedonger surrendered before Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena and Additional SP (Operations) Surjeet Kumar Atri with intention to join the mainstream.
The four surrendered active Naxalites for the last five years are former Barda Jan Militia commander Sada son of Sanau Mandavi, 34 resident of Kulanar, former Barda LOS member Dukalu son of Mittu, 32 resident Kulanar, former Bard LOS member Shardu Kawade son of Ghassu, 22 years resident of Badgai and former Barda LOS member Mangu Ram son of Dukharam 30 years.
During interrogation they said that Commander Phul Singh, Kishore and Sarita had lured them and after keeping them together for few days, threatened that if they return, they would be killed. The added that they carried out many attacks against police and cause losses of government property. They damaged schools and Ashram buildings.
They reported that they were treated badly by the Naxal leaders from Andhra Pradesh and were mulling to quit the organization. The AP leaders did not allow them to meet their family members and did not allow construction of roads and schools. They added that with passing of time, they wanted to lead a normal life. Police SP said naxalites can surrender in any police station, camp or directly in SP office. He urged those in Naxal movement to leave and join the main stream.
