Provide additional price of linseed to farmers, Governor
Governor Shekhar Dutt said on Thursday that the only way to attract farmers to the production of linseed that has immense medicinal value is to provide the farmers its additional price.
Mentioning that recent advances in medical research have found linseed as best herbal source of Omega-3 as well as Omega-6 fatty acids which have immense medicinal effect, the Governor, on th point of attracting farmers, said that whether they will be paid more and if not then how the cultivation can be made more remunerative in future so that farmers prefer for these crops are to be decided first.
