Five naxalites including two Jan Militia Commanders surrender before BSF

Border Security Force deployed in the naxal infested areas of the state has succeeded in persuading another five hardcore naxalites to surrender and join the main stream.


The naxalites surrendered before DIG (Intelligence) UK Nayal; Commandant Vijay Singh (123rd Battalion); Second Commanding Officer SG Shukla and Assistant Commandant Rajiv Bisht.


The surrendered red rebels are identified as Rajnu Ram alias Rajnu Katmali (37) son of Chain Singh a resident of Village Baghjhar (Amabeda PS); Chainu Ram (27) son of Sugdu Ram a resident of Village Uparkamta (Amabeda PS); Manuram Netam (28) son of Mangluram a resident of Village Baghjhar (Amabeda PS); Rajkumar Potai (26) son of Massu Ram a resident of Village Uparkamta (Amabeda PS); and Ramesh Potai (32) son of Ramlal a resident of Koyepara (Siksod PS).


BSF sources informed that Rajnu Ram was the member of Antagarh Local Operating Squad and had actively participated in several naxal movements. He is wanted in several cases including abduction of three policemen in the year 2010 and assassination of a villager during Jan Adalat in the year 2008. He was carrying cash reward of Rs One lakh on his head.


Chainuram was the chief of Sangham members and was wanted in several criminal cases. He was indulged in killing of a villager at Village Tevda in the year 2008; demolition of school building at Semargaon in the year 2008. He was also carrying Rs One Lakh on his head.


Manuram was the member of Kiskodo Area Committee. He is wanted in several cases including abduction of three policemen in the year 2010 and assassination of a villager during Jan Adalat in the year 2008. Government had declared Rs One Lakh cash reward on him.


Rajkumar Potai worked as Jan Militia Commander and was accused in several cases registered at Amabeda Police Station. He was indulged in assassination of a person at Village Garda in the year 2008; and demolition of school building at Village Semargaon in the year 2008. Government had declared Rs One Lakh reward on him.


Ramesh Potai was also Jan Militia Commander and was wanted in several cases registered at Amabeda Police Station. He was indulged in urging the youth to join naxal movement and worked as supplier for Rowghat Area Committee and Chargaon Local Operating Squad.


He was also carrying cash reward of Rs One Lakh on his head. All the surrendered naxalites have been kept under police security. IG SS Chahar had rewarded the BSF officers / personnel for this achievement.
