Online Insurance in just three minutes

Nearly 2468 choice centers in state will now provide facility of online insurance in just three minutes. Through these centers, all kinds of insurance and pension services will be provided. This information was given by Chhattisgarh InfoTech and Biotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) and E-Governance Services India Ltd of General Service Centre on the first day of the two-day workshop organized for ensuring these services to people of rural areas. In the inaugural programme of the workshop, State Government’s Information Technology Department Secretary B Anand Babu was present. In the workshop, more than 120 rural entrepreneurs from across the state participated. On the first day, CSC Champion Certificates were distributed to choice agents for their excellent services and potential in this field. In the workshop, Senior Deputy Chairman of General Service Centre E-Governance Services India Ltd, New Delhi Rishiraj Singh, Jagannath Mishra of Tata AIG Insurance, and Anil Kapoor of State Bank India Life Insurance.


It is noteworthy that CHiPS is providing training to these choice agents with the objective of facilitating insurance and pension services to people of rural areas in state. Trained agents will now be able to complete the entire process of online insurance in just three minutes. All kinds of motor vehicle and health related insurance facilities can be availed through rural choice centres.


State Government’s Information Technology Department Secretary B Anand Babu addressed the inaugural session saying that as per the desire of State Government, this project has proved to be a milestone in path of facilitating information technology in rural areas.


He told that compared to other states, Chhattisgarh is progressing way faster in the field of information technology. Main objective of Choice Project is to empower people in rural areas and expedite their development through information technology. On the occasion Secretary B Anand Babu distributed Irish devices to agents with e-champion certificates and also to the agents who have cleared insurance exam. Senior Manager of CHiPS Paritosh Dongavkar, Kailash Thakir, Tarun Amriya and State Head of General Service Centre E-Governance Service Madanmohan Raut.
