The district police could be in botheration in the New Year due to unsolved cases of last year. These cases include as many as a dozen ones of murder. Some have not been able to get solved while the files of some have been closed.
Police have dealt the cases of murder with constant slackness in their investigations. In some cases they had been clueless while in some they could not go have any progress in spite of their getting registered. In the sensational case of murder of the teacher in Sarju Bageecha it could not have been established so far whether it was the so called lover who killed her and took his own life or any third person was involved in killing both of them. Police seems to have withheld the case on purpose. Similarly, dozens of cases are lying pending so far their investigations are concerned.
There are two cases of murder in Kota area. The identities of women reportedly involved in it could not be established so far. The investigation of Lingiadih murder case in Sarkanda is getting affected frequently due to transfers of the TIs. The current IT lacks detailed information about this case. If the dead body is not identified after being found then it is easier for the police to close the file. In the case of a youth found hanged in Ratanpur area, the police had been terming it to be the case of suicide despite its being dubious since the beginning. Further, police had the pretense of not having the post mortem report.
When the report came, it was revealed that it was not suicide but murder. But even after two months of it the police are raising question mark on the report itself. Allegedly, police shows promptness in the cases for which the pressure is mounted on them. On being asked in this regard, SP B.S. Meena said, “Unsolved cases are monitored and every fortnight the concerned TIs are issued directives in this regard. The cases of murder have not been closed yet, they will be solved at any cost.
