Koynar sarpanch forwarded a letter to the Darbha janpad panchayat chief executive officer acquainting him with embezzlement of funds by former sarpanch and secretary during anganbadi construction work here in village. It is worth mentioning that CEO acting over pleas, issued a notice to former sarpanch and thereon no attention was paid towards same. Sarpanch Tularam Kashyap is tensed regarding swindling of funds but there is no one to take the responsibility and carry out investigation, release added.
According to reports, Tularam in this regard stated that former sarpanch Lachni and former secretary Dinesh Singh withdrew cheque amounting to Rs 50, 000 meant for anganbadi construction work on July 16, 2007. After few days, another Rs 50, 000 were withdrawn by them with mutual consent. He ahead cited that during handing over charge, Lachni did not give details about work and finding something fishy Tularam complained about same to CEO but in name of action only formality was done. Tularam at the end mentioned that the twosome has pocketed several thousand rupees sanctioned for government project and due to no action from administration their spirit is in hike. He afterwards requested concerned authority to take some step and relieve him from this tension.
