The poor sanitation facilities at government primary school in village Belora is causing concern among children and parents. It is noteworthy that the concerned authorities just to attain their selfish motive have gulped money sanctioned for construction of toilet in said school.
The release ahead mentioned that there is only toilet rooms in school but neither toilet seat nor taps have been installed yet. The walls due to lacking maintenance are also in pathetic state and can collapse anytime.
According to reports, around 93 students are studying in primary school and 65 in middle. The contractor soon after getting project constructed toilet rooms but later due to the connection between concerned authorities and contractor the work was left in between and entire money was embezzled, it is alleged.
The students in this regard stated that they have to put their life in danger so as to attend nature’s call in open. There is no toilet seat since two years and the project appears to be a total waste now. The foul smell makes it impossible for students to study but with no other option they are forced to sit with hanky on nose.
The teachers later cited that the electric pole in school campus has damaged and due to same students are going through several problems. A handicap student Tekram son of Yashwant Yadav is requesting for tri cycle since years but unheard. They later cited that the authorities have been acquainted with issue lot many times but no avail.
When the matter was discussed with SDO then he stated that he has recently been posted in Magarlod and is not having much detail about same.
