Commercial Tax Department have expanded its online services with an objective provide better facilities to businessmen in Chhattisgarh. The department has initiated online services for registeration, amendments, cancellation and luxury tax registration of businessmen, online service for TDS registration and offline services for filing returns.
Commercial Tax Commissioner RS Vishwakarma today inaugurated these services in his office. Now businessmen may avail modification and deletion facilities from their workplace itself. These online facilities have been expanded on demand of businessmen, Chamber of Commerce and Sales Tax Association.
On the occasion, Commercial Tax Commissioner Vishwakarma said that considerate efforts are being taken to ensure quick redressal of businessmen’s grievances. In the same direction, new online services have been initiated to facilitate the business-related activities. The department is already conducting online services for e-registration, e-return, e-payment, e-refund, e-form, tax clearance certificate. Chairman Chamber of Commerce Amar Parwani said that Chhattisgarh Commercial Tax Department has taken significant decisions in the larger interest of business sector. The online services that have been inaugurated today have further simplified the business-related activities. Offline return deposit facility will reduce the time consumed in filing statements. Raipur Sales Tax Bar Association Official Mahesh Sharma appreciated the department’s initiative of offline statement filing facility. Additional Commissioner SL Agrawal gave detailed information about the e-services provided by Commercial Tax Department. In the programme, RK Trivedi, Uma Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur Division TL Dhruv, Deputy Commissioner of Raipur Division SK Bakshi and Kalpana Tiwari, Sales Tax Bar Association officials of Durg and Raigarh, Technical Director of NIC Shishir Raizada were also present.
